Caribefunk in Berlin
Promoting network and collaboration through the Colombian community music and festivities

The Colombian Embassy organized a concert of the famous Colombian funk band, Caribefunk, well-known for the representation of the Colombian musical trends in their work. This way the Embassy collaborates in the diffusion of the national artistic values, promoting the network and further spread of the country’s cultural legacy.
As part of their tour of Europe, the Colombian band El Caribefunk were part of the Plan for the Promotion of Colombia Abroad, which is a cultural diplomacy tool of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia. It’s purpose is to support the country's external action and promotion of national interests mutually the actors of the international community. This Plan is materialized through the organization of concerts, plays, dance performances, art exhibitions, film cycles, literary and academic activities, for the audience of all kinds.
The event took place on 6th of August in the historic place of St. Elisabeth-Kirche, where the band delighted the public with their fusion of sounds of the Greater Caribbean.
