The event will take place from 14:30 to 16:30 at the embassy premises in Westend, and is being organized in cooperation with key members of the African diaspora, civil society organizations, and women entrepreneurs active in Germany and beyond. The event’s core focus—on the relationship between mechanization and women’s empowerment—seeks to address critical gaps in access to innovation and technology, particularly within agriculture and light industry sectors.

By bringing this theme into a diplomatic and diasporic context, the Embassy of Cameroon is highlighting not only women’s rights as a development issue but also the broader significance of African-German cooperation in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a cultural diplomacy initiative, the side event is both a symbolic and practical gesture. It reflects Cameroon’s commitment to gender equity and recognizes the African diaspora in Germany as a strategic partner in advancing empowerment across continents.

Registration for the event is capped at 60 participants, with applications already closed. In addition to expert speakers and entrepreneurs, the gathering will include networking sessions aimed at fostering cross-sector partnerships, exchange of best practices, and future collaborative initiatives.

According to embassy representatives, the initiative is not only an extension of the Global Summit of Women but a standalone platform that affirms African women’s leadership and vision. By convening in Berlin, the event also positions the Cameroonian Embassy as an active participant in the city’s international dialogue on inclusion, diaspora engagement, and sustainable development.
