While in Vienna for the 68th Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference, Mr. Adjima THIOMBIANO, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, along with Mr. Amadou DICKO, Delegate Minister to the Minister of Agriculture, Animal, and Fishery Resources, responsible for animal resources, held a meeting with Burkinabè nationals residing in Austria.

This meeting took place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Vienna. It provided an opportunity for both Ministers to inform the diaspora about the national situation and present the major initiatives undertaken by the government in the areas of health, agriculture, education, and research, among others.

The diaspora, through the voice of the Coordinator of the Association of Burkinabè Nationals in Austria (ARBA), expressed their appreciation for the meeting. They reaffirmed their strong ties to their homeland and reiterated their commitment to making every effort to contribute to the development of Burkina Faso.

It is worth noting that the Burkinabè community in Austria includes a diverse pool of experts in scientific and technological fields, as well as in the tertiary sector.
