Over the course of the last two weeks, Europe has continued to try and deal with the fallout caused by Britain’s decision to leave the European Union. Of course as a result of Britain’s vote to leave, there has been a large magnitude of uncertainty throughout member states as to how to deal with the situation. Of course during a time like this diplomacy and continued dialogue is hugely important.

On Wednesday the 13th of July the British embassy in conjunction with the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany has organised an event in order to attempt to answer some of the questions and to put minds at ease. The event in question will deal with issues surrounding the European Union states and their banks.

It goes without saying that Brexit will be hugely influential over the state of the various different institutions throughout EU member states. The importance of events like this cannot be underestimated, the open discussion allows individuals from various different states, backgrounds and disciplines to discuss and inform each other on the current situation in Europe.

Speakers at the event include; Dr. Andreas R. Dombret, a Member of the Board at the German Bundesbank, Ronald Kent, the Managing Director of Wholesale and Financial Policy at the British Bankers' Association and Dr. Lutz Raettig, the Director of Morgan Stanley Bank International Ltd at the branch office in Germany and also a Member of the Board of the Banking Association.

The event will take place at Casino auf dem Campus Westend, Theodor-W.-Adorno-Platz 3, 60323 Frankfurt am Main and will begin at 4 o’clock.
