The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Berlin has released a new informational brochure showcasing investment projects and business opportunities proposed by government institutions and private companies across key sectors.

The new investment brochure, jointly produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, aims at fostering the economic attractiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina by presenting the specific advantages proposed to international investors.

The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency underlines Bosnia and Herzegovina’s strategic advantages and appealing to investors of great economic potential with its strategic location, favourable trade agreements, skilled labour at competitive price, stable financial system, favourable legal environment and tax system, low operating cost, industrial excellence and attractive investment locations.

The brochure presents companies and institutions operating in strategic sectors such as tourism, food and agriculture, infrastructure construction and real estate, energy, environment and natural resources, information technology and services, industry and defense. These industries are identified as key drivers for economic development and job creation.

One of the initiative's core objectives is to address the high unemployment rate, standing at around 16 per cent, with youth being especially affected. Another goal is to facilitate and attract foreign investors while fostering economic integration and administrative simplification among the different regions within Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Given Bosnia and Herzegovina’s central position in Southeast Europe, the country is well-positioned to serve as a regional hub for companies looking to expand their supply chains or access European markets. The new brochure may serve as a valuable tool to deepen economic ties for Bosnia and Herzegovina in particular maiswith its E.U. neighbors, including Germany which already supports bilateral economic relations through initiatives such as the “Guide for German Companies”, developed by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
