Book Presentation in the Kyrgyz Embassy in Berlin
Insights from Former Kyrgyz Prime Minister Djoomart Otobaev and other Renowned Experts.

On March 23, 2023, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany hosted a book presentation for the former Prime Minister, Mr. Djoomart Otorbaev's recently published book titled "Central Asia's Economic Rebirth in the Shadow of the New Great Game," published by Routledge Publishing House in London. During the presentation, Mr. Otorbaev shared his thoughts on the state, opportunities, and prospects of Central Asia, with a focus on the post-Soviet economic and political transformation of the region, and its relations with Russia, China, and the West.
The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev, expressed his appreciation for Mr. Otorbaev's visit to Berlin and for presenting the book. He also highlighted the growing importance of Central Asia in the current international context and Kyrgyzstan's efforts to develop and strengthen regional integration, including the historical Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness, and Cooperation for the Development of Central Asia signed in Cholpon-Ata on July 21, 2022.
The book presentation was attended by the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries in Germany, representatives of political, scientific, and expert circles of Germany, and received positive feedback from many well-known personalities, including ex-Federal President of Germany Mr. Dr Horst Köhler, ex-President of the Czech Republic Mr. Václav Klaus, and ex-President of the Asian Development Bank Mr. Takehiko Nakao.
