The Romanian Embassy in Berlin, in collaboration with the German-Romanian Society and the Romanian Cultural Institute "Titu Maiorescu," organized a significant event to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the fall of the communist regime in Romania and the Berlin Wall. The event, titled "Beyond the Wall: Resistance. Resonance," featured esteemed guests such as Markus Meckel, Emil Hurezeanu, Ana Blandiana, and Anneli Ute Gabanyi, with Emil Constantinescu, the former President of Romania, as the guest of honor. The discussions were moderated by Robert Schwartz, and the event included musical performances.

As part of a larger project, "Beyond the Wall: Resistance. Resonance," which also involved the Romanian Embassy in Berlin, the ICR Berlin, the Civic Academy Foundation, and the Chapel of Reconciliation in Berlin, the event included the inauguration of a photographic art exhibition by Cornel Brad on August 31, 2024, a reading evening with author Herma Kennel on September 12, 2024, and a video screening by director Anca Berlogea-Boariu on September 28, 2024.

Deutsche Welle Romania and TVR served as media partners, while the Romanian-German Forum for Bilateral Cooperation in Bucharest and the Romanian-German Forum in Berlin were the main sponsors. The project was also supported by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce AHK, Karl Heinz Dietrich International Logistics, and Smart City Brasov.
