On June 26, 2024, the Berlin University Alliance will host a networking event at the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. Organized by Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the event aims to highlight collaborations between Berlin's universities and their Brazilian partners and foster new academic networking opportunities.

Freie Universität, Humboldt-Universität, and Technische Universität have strong ties with Brazil and support the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo. Freie Universität established a liaison office in Brazil in 2010 within the DWIH São Paulo. Technische Universität has been an associated supporter since 2018, and Humboldt-Universität joined in 2022.

The event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions, with attendees from Berlin universities, Brazilian institutions, researchers, and students. It will also include cultural performances and exhibits, showcasing the rich heritage of Brazil and reinforcing the strong academic and cultural connections between Berlin and Brazil.
