Born in 1958 in Grodno Region, Belarus.
Graduated from the Minsk State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (1980), Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria (1993).
1980-1993 – Service in the Armed Forces of the USSR / Republic of Belarus. Retired colonel.
1993-1995 – Third Secretary of the Information and Humanitarian Cooperation Department, Second Secretary of the Analysis and Forecast Division, Second Secretary of the Office of the Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
1995-1996 – Deputy Head of the State Protocol Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
1996-1999 – Representative of the Republic of Belarus at the Council of Europe – Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the French Republic.
1999-2000 – Director of the Pan-European Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
2000-2008 – Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus.
2008-2012 – Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Since 20 August 2012 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
Holds the diplomatic rank of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Speaks German and English.
Married, has three children.
