Babylon Europa Festival Returns to Berlin with a Celebration of European Culture
European cultural institutes unite at ufaFabrik to showcase arts, music, and diversity

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the multicultural festival Babylon Europa returned to ufaFabrik in Berlin, offering an energetic celebration of European art, performance, and cultural exchange. The event was organized by EUNIC Berlin, a network that includes the Austrian Cultural Forum, Institut français, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and other national cultural institutes.
From 16:00 to 22:00, visitors to the ufaFabrik cultural center in Viktoriastraße were treated to a dynamic program of live music, theater, dance, and film projections. The Berlin-based band led by Sorvina set the musical tone with a blend of styles reflecting the continent’s diverse cultural soundscape. Alongside performances, festivalgoers enjoyed food stands representing different European cuisines and participated in interactive art and cultural activities.
The Babylon Europa festival is part of EUNIC Berlin’s ongoing commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue and cultural diplomacy within Germany. The event featured collaborations between artists and institutions from across Europe, highlighting themes of unity, creativity, and community.
With strong attendance and support from multiple embassies and cultural bodies, the 2025 edition reaffirmed the role of Berlin as a key stage for pan-European cultural cooperation. Babylon Europa continues to serve not only as a vibrant showcase of European identity, but also as a platform for shared values and mutual understanding through the arts.
