On September 24, 2025, the Austrian Cultural Forum London (ACF London) — the cultural arm of the Austrian Embassy in the UK — will host celloFORUM 2025: Masterclass with Jeremias Fliedl. This initiative places one of Austria’s most promising young cellists at the centre of a day-long exchange with students and graduates from British conservatories.

Running from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at ACF London’s venue on Rutland Gate, the event invites selected participants to perform, receive feedback, and interact with Fliedl in an intimate pedagogical setting. Applications, due by August 24, required recordings and motivation statements, underscoring the high calibre of the opportunity. Crucially, both participation and audience attendance are free, making world-class mentorship accessible to all.

The masterclass demonstrates the Austrian Embassy’s mission to act as a cultural bridge between Austria and the UK, ensuring that diplomacy is not confined to political dialogue but extends to the creative arts. By enabling direct exchange between Austrian virtuosity and British talent, the embassy reaffirms music as a universal language of diplomacy.

For London audiences and students alike, the event embodies the embassy’s cultural vision: nurturing emerging artists while showcasing the vitality of Austria’s classical music tradition abroad.
