Gropius Bau, one of the most important exhibition halls in Europe, hosts an exposition of contemporary art, that makes the work of Berlin artists and their practices more visible, including the work of international artists who represent their culture in the multicultural and joint field such it is the German Capital.

The Mexican embassy promotes “And Berlin Will Always Need You. Art, Craft and Concept Made in Berlin”, in an exhibition of modern art and crafts of a multiple variety of international and German artists, in order to expand and bring a new definition to the artistic know-how of the multicultural and dynamic place like Berlin. The exhibition comprises carefully elected pieces of art, among which we may find from the decorative and religious ornaments, with Eastern and Byzantine motives, to the Modern and contemporary design pieces, which comprise craftsmanship from all over the world, including South America.

Julieta Aranda, Mexican artist who work in Berlin and in New York, exposes her most recent work, is acting in representation of the South American artistical expression, especially the Mexican one, which the embassy tends to promote. Her work focuses on the processes of the circulation of different objects and artistic items in different backgrounds, searching for the constant movement and displacement of the forms and subjects beyond their frame and possibilities. It tends to represent the restlessness of the South American culture by using the contemporary art and expression.
