Ethiopia And Germany’s Bilateral Relations Honoured by State Secretary

International Relations between the two countries are better than ever with high praise from German parliamentary State Secretary for the East African nation.

News from Berlin. Last week saw the parliamentary State Secretary Fuchtel receive the Ethiopian Ambassador to the German office in a visit honouring the tie between the two countries.

Hans-Joachim Fuchtel celebrated the 50-year-old diplomatic relationship with Ethiopian Ambassador Fesseha Asghedom Tessema, emphasising particularly the development in the collaborative relation.

In a speech given last week, Fuchtel praised the engagement of the government in Addis Ababa and their diplomatic core for the country’s development and additionally commended the diplomatic efforts on Ethiopia’s part in mediation within the South Sudan conflict.

Fuchtel also emphasised the importance of continued collaboration between German and Ethiopia in rural areas of the country. The protection of biodiversity as key to this as well as in the field of agriculture and in the improvement of the provision of renewable energy.
