Ambassador of Uganda to Germany Featured on “Gate to Trade” Podcast at the Czech Chamber of Commerce in Prague
Advancing Bilateral Cooperation via the “Gate to Trade” Podcast
January 27th, 2026Ambassador Danny Ssozi, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Uganda in Berlin, joined Mr Radek Jakubský, Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, for a conversation on the Chamber’s flagship podcast, Gate to Trade. The recording took place on 12 December 2025 at the Chamber’s headquarters in Prague.
The discussion centred on opportunities to further strengthen economic cooperation between Uganda and the Czech Republic, with particular emphasis on expanding trade, investment, and business-to-business partnerships. Ambassador Ssozi underscored Uganda’s stable and welcoming investment climate, its strategic location within East Africa, and the strong growth potential of key sectors such as agriculture, agro-processing, tourism, energy, information and communications technology, and manufacturing.
Ambassador Ssozi reaffirmed the Government of Uganda’s strong commitment to supporting foreign investors, enhancing the ease of doing business, and broadening market access for Ugandan products in Europe and other regions. He encouraged Czech companies to consider the diverse investment and partnership opportunities available in Uganda, highlighting the pivotal role of private-sector collaboration in unlocking shared economic benefits.
Mr Jakubský welcomed the positive momentum in Uganda–Czech relations and reiterated the Czech Chamber of Commerce’s interest in further strengthening engagement with African markets. He noted that the Gate to Trade platform is designed to highlight emerging markets and to support Czech companies pursuing international expansion, including opportunities in East Africa.
