Ambassador Gutmann Hosts Celebratory Iftar Dinner
An Evening of Unity and Cultural Exchange at the Ambassador’s Residence

In a heartwarming celebration of Iftar, Ambassador Amy Gutmann recently hosted an esteemed gathering at her residence on the 15th of March. The event brought together a diverse group of representatives from the German Muslim community, diplomats from Muslim-majority countries, Bundestag members, German officials, and individuals actively involved in interfaith dialogue. Also present were NGOs focused on migration and integration issues, as well as alumni of various embassy exchange programs.
The evening was graced be the presence of Germany’s biggest Tik Tok influencer, Younes Zarou, and Malakeh Jazmati, widely known as “the Queen of Syrian Cooking”. Both personalities added a unique charm to the event, reflecting the vibrant cultural mosaic of the gathering.
In her welcoming remarks, Ambassador Gutmann emphasized the unifying power of faith, stating, “Faith can bring people together. In the spirit of Ramadan, let us recommit ourselves to the timeless work of building peace and standing up for the rights and dignity of all people.”
She further expressed her sentiments on social media, sharing, “IN the spirit of Ramadan, let us recommit ourselves to the timeless work of building peace and standing up for the rights and dignity of all people.
