February 11th, 2025On February 7, 2025, a meeting was held at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Berlin between Omurbek Tekebaev, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, representatives of the Federal Physical-Technical Institute (PTB), and Kyrgyz producers of organic fruits and vegetables. This meeting followed the annual international trade fair and exhibition "Fruit-Logistics," which took place in Berlin from February 5-7, 2025.
The event was attended by several Kyrgyz companies, including "Ishker KG," "OSKO," "Global Agro," "Nukura," "Alysh-Dan," "Interfruit," and "Aksy Sun Planet," all of which presented a variety of high-quality organic products, such as walnuts, dried fruits, and fruit and berry oils.
Ambassador Tekebaev visited the Kyrgyz stand at the exhibition, where he highlighted the significance of the participation of Kyrgyz producers in such international trade fairs. He noted that events like "Fruit-Logistics" provide valuable opportunities for Kyrgyz businesses to showcase their environmentally friendly products to European and German markets, fostering greater international trade connections.
The collaboration between the PTB and Kyrgyzstan has a long history, particularly in the areas of metrology and standardization. Through this partnership, numerous projects have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan, with the aim of strengthening technical standards and quality assurance processes. The participation of Kyrgyz producers in the trade fair was made possible by the German project "Increasing the Use of Quality-Related Services," which is being carried out with the support of both the PTB and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
About the PTB

This collaboration demonstrates the continued efforts of both Kyrgyzstan and Germany to strengthen economic ties, support the growth of Kyrgyz businesses, and facilitate their access to global markets.
