News from Berlin. H.E. Amb. Sitona Abdalla Osman is the first official head of mission for the independent Republic of South Sudan in Germany. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Cairo and between the years of 1985 and 2002 she worked for the South Sudanese Liberation Movement and the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Army / Movement (SPLA / M). After the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) with the Sudanese government in 2007 she entered the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in 2011 the Foreign Service of the Republic of South Sudan. She is fluent in both English and Arabic.
