70th Republic Day of India Celebration

The Embassy of India in Berlin kindly invites all members of the Indian Community and friends of India to join the celebration of the 70th Republic Day of India. The event is to be held on Saturday, 26th January 2019.
Indian Republic Day has been celebrated every year since 1950 to commemorate the date when the Constitution of India came into force. On this occasion, a wide range of traditional and cultural programs are organized in the capital, emphasizing historical and cultural aspects of India.
Several countries, including Germany, join the celebration of the Republic Day of India. The event at the H. E. Ambassador's residence in Berlin will comprise a Flag hoisting ceremony, music and refreshments. The main aim of the celebration is to build bridges between Indian people and to reunite them in the country’s cultural diversity. Holding a celebration in Germany is a great initiative to enhance German-Indian relations and to bring German people closer to the culture of India.
