News from Berlin - After the fall of Berlin Wall in 1989, Germany annually celebrates the day of German Unity with strong passion and enthusiasm. This year the event cannot be missed!

The 3rd October has been acknowledge as a legal national holiday since 1990 when the former GDR officially joined the Federal Republic of Germany. The Day of German Unity is celebrated each year in a different city and in addition celebrations are held in Berlin. Berlin is preparing an incredible three-day event and folk festival around Brandenburg Gate and Strasse des 17. Juni. Many booths are being placed around this area selling sweet, food, beverages and gadgets.

On Friday 3rd, 2014 the paramount national celebration will be organized in Hannover in occasion of Tag der Deutschen Einheit (German Unity day). For the 24th year, Germany is going to celebrate the success of the Unity. Since then, though a difficult and long journey of events and political steps, Germany continues to highlight this important day.
