Dialogue on German-Chinese economic relations and development pathways

The Chinese Embassy in Berlin hosted a Sino-German business reception, bringing together over 200 representatives from German and Chinese institutions, companies, and business associations to further develop bilateral economic relations.

Chinese Ambassador Deng Hongbo delivered a welcome speech, emphasizing the necessity for both sides to further develop bilateral ties. He highlighted that implementing existing agreements, deepening strategic dialogue, strengthening political trust, and promoting dynamic cooperation are essential steps toward achieving a productive partnership.

Among the guest speakers was Wolfgang Niedermark, a member of the Executive Board of the Federation of German Industries. Representing German business, Niedermark underlined the importance of German-Chinese cooperation in addressing global challenges. Niedermark urged business representatives from both countries to intensify cooperation, stating this would help elevate “bilateral relations to a new, higher level.”

Ambassador Deng Hongbo expressed optimism about the future of German-Chinese relations, particularly in the economic sphere. He stated: "The success story of mutual progress and shared growth can be continued. Through wisdom and energy, China and Germany should contribute to stabilizing the global economy and upholding international fairness and justice.”

Participants at the event exchanged views on ongoing cooperation and explored new opportunities. The wide participation from both sides is an expression of their desire to continue deepening their mutual relations.
