News from Berlin - The German government is aware of an economic potential that the Arab world undoubtedly has, despite plenty of challenges it is currently struggling with. Therefore the development of Arab-German relations in the last decade speaks out through numbers - the trade volume increased more than twice since 2002, reaching at its peak 50 million euro in 2013.

While the Arab world concentrates its efforts on educational, infrastructural and industrial transformations, Germany with its diversified industry, top-notch services and high workforce level offers a promising perspective for mutual Arab-German business cooperation.

In order to further enhance those relations, the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosts the 17th Arab-German Business Forum which takes place in Berlin at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel from 4th to 6th June 2014.

The forum is held under the patronage of the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, H.E. Sigmar Gabriel, in co-operation with the Association of German Chambers of Commerce (DIHK) and the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce (GUCIAAC). The partner country for year 2014 is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
