News from Berlin - The French Institute in Berlin, in partnership with the European Commission and the Free University of Berlin, are organizing The Night of Philosophy, an event which encompasses lectures, performances, recitals, films and discussions that will bring the field of philosophy into a new light. Over 60 philosophers, professors, poets, directors and artists from all over Europe will break down the boundaries between philosophy and art and present their work over the course of twelve captivating hours.

The highlights include a 12-hour musical soundtrack with themes and texts on the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus by Wittgenstein, improvisations on philosophical themes such as nothing, infinity, passion, joy, as well as a wine tasting event and cocktail hour.

The event will be mostly in German but will include several performances and lectures in English and French. No entrance fee or registration will be required.
