The Polish Institute of Berlin organised a concert of classical music on July, 9th, 2019. Musical works of Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, and Henryk Wieniawski were played during the event.

The most intriguing part of the concert was the concept itself. The organizers evoked the tradition of 19th century music salons where the most talented musicians presented their works for a small audience. Hours-long performances in the presence of remarkable artists characterized this old tradition. The Polish Institute followed it, and organized an inspiring event for Berlin public.

The group of performing artists, which included Alexander Reitanbach from Deutsche Oper, presented the music works of Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, and Henryk Wieniewski — the most famous Polish composers. Reitenbach’s piano performance was accompanied by violin and violoncello play. During the breaks the audience was informed about biographies of the composers and humorous anecdotes of their lives. What is truly important: the event was attended by international public, which included Polish, German, and English speakers.
