On that day, Nelson Mandela became the first democratically elected black president of South Africa.

The Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Amb. Phumelele Stone Sizani, was honored to host H.E. Amb. Robert Dölger of the Federal Foreign Office as the guest of honour representing the German Government.

Robert Dölger conveyed the congratulations on behalf of the German Government and German people to the South African Government and South African people on the celebrations of South Africa’s 25th Freedom Day.
