News from Berlin - Between May 16th and 18th the Warsaw Mime Center, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and the Berlin School for Performing and Fine Arts will present their art project, the International Festival of Pantomime ‘My Mime’ at the Etage Theater in Berlin. This initiative is a result of effective intercultural cooperation between Polish, Czech and German artists along with the strong support of the German Ministry of Culture and Media, the Czech Embassy and the Polish Embassy.

The program of the festival during these three days promises to be rich and international including public performances of mimes from all over the world, including Uruguay, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic, among others. Apart from that the ‘MY MIME’ platform will offer seminars and workshops for those who are professionally interested and particularly inspired by this performance art. The Roger Dodger Band (D/CZ/ESP/URY) will musically accompany the festival and breaks between the performances.

The basic pillar of the My Mime Festival is the idea of the international exchange and mobility of the participants. So, each year the Festival will take place in different member states of the Federation of European Mime (FEM). Next year it will be hosted in Prague and in 2016 it will travel to Warsaw. The full program of the festival can be found at www.mymime.eu.
