Three opening concerts, as a part of a project carried out by the Polish Embassy in Berlin and the Wielkopolska Association, will take place in Gniezno, Poznań and Berlin. The concert in Berlin is organized by the Polish Embassy as well as by the Wielkopolska Association and will take place in the Trinitatis Church. The event will be a cooperation between the Polish guitarist Lukasz Kuropaczewski and the Berlin Chamber Orchestra.

During the concert in Berlin, the famous accordionist Maciej Frąckiewicz, the winner of the renowned competition for accordionists in the world, “Arrasate Hiria” in Spain, will also perform. Additionally, the revised version of the famous concert “Hommage a de Falla” by Alexander Tansman will be presented for the first time.

The Polish classical guitarist Lukasz Kuropaczewski graduated from the University of Baltimore. He is currently leading the lessons in the Music Academy in Poznan. Since 2008 he is the leader of the Festival of the Academy of Guitar and has been nominated for the prize “Guarantee of Culture” (German: “Garantie der Kultur”) on the TV program TVP Kultura.

The German Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1945 and is considered one of the most popular orchestras in Berlin. The orchestra has performed in the Rheingau Music Festival, Music Festival in Pollenca / Mallorca and has performed in Japan, the USA, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador.

This concert serves as an excellent example of the cooperation between German and Polish musicians, who will perform under the unifying slogan “Bridges Instead of a Wall” combining music styles from both countries.
