The Foreign Office welcomed today the 49th Imam of the Nizari Ismalism, philanthropist and founder of his eponymous development network.

News from Berlin. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Frank-Walter Steinmeter meets today with Prince Karim Aga Khan for a lunch in the Foreign Office.

The collaborative work of the Federal Government and the “Aga Khan Development Network” (AKDN) formed to focus of the meeting between the two men. The discussion centered on the stabilization of nations in fragile states.

The AKDN is one of the world’s largest non-governmental organizations and leads projects with support from the German Foreign Office in the fields of healthcare, education, and culture; predominantly in Asia and East Africa.
