The food festival is organized by True Italian and Berlin Italian Communication and food will be provided by over twenty Italian restaurants and cafes from Berlin, among which Neapolitan Pizzeria Malafemmena and Pizzare Prenzlauer Berg.

The food festival will last from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23rd of June, from 12pm to 22pm. It will be an occasion to celebrate Italian food in Berlin and also for Italians and for those keen on discovering Italian food’s traditions to gather. The restaurants and cafes taking part to the festival are of various kinds, there are in fact pizzerias, ice cream shops, and cafes, to accommodate all preferences. The entry fee is 2€, but it is free for children under the age of 12 years old. The organisers recommend participants to try the special pizza portafoglio made by Malafemmena, which is a food typical of Neapolitan’s cuisine.

By offering a space and a time for those interested in Italian cuisine and culture, the organisers of the festival are actively promoting cultural diplomacy, as events as such are fundamental in integrating foreign communities in a new city, while also allowing locals to discover Italian traditions and food.
