International Musical Actor and Singer Ivan Ozhogin is “BACK to BERLIN”

News from Berlin - Known to the German public as the last Vampire Count in Roman Polanski’s famous musical Tanz der Vampire, Ivan Ozhogin starred in European musical productions such as Chicago, CATS, Beauty and the Beast, Dance of the Vampires, Pola Negri, and won multiple theater awards. Named 'velvet voice' by critics, Ivan uses his unique vocal tone and diapason to sing different genres varying from folk and romance songs to rock and opera.  He also performs with the Moscow Helikon Opera and tours Europe with the famous Bolshoi Don Cossacks Choir.

The famous actor and singer was born on September 1st, 1978. Music has always been an important part of his upbringing. He graduated as a musical actor and opera singer from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in Moscow. This is when Ivan Ozhogin started his career in Musical Acting.

In 2011 made a breakthrough as a musical actor when he starred as Count von Krolock in the Russian production of the musical Dance of the Vampires. It first premiered in Russia, but soon moved to Berlin, where Ivan became known to a broad German audience. He is the only actor who performed the same role in two different languages and in two different countries at the same time.

Additionally, Ozhogin also performs in concerts and musical shows with leading chamber and symphonic orchestras, both in Russia and abroad.  The next one you can experience this weekend in Berlin at the two concerts announced below.

BACK to BERLIN – May 10

On May 10th Ivan Ozhogin is making a comeback to the German capital with the new solo program. Together with a live band he will perform international musical, rock and jazz hits in the legendary frannz Club in the Kulturbrauerei. After-party Tanz in frannz is included!

MUSICAL FRIENDS INTERNATIONAL – May 11

On May 11th Ivan Ozhogin invites you to enjoy the best Eastern European classical romance, pop and musical songs at the Russian House of Science and Culture at Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. The show will feature international guest stars – musical actress and singer Mercedesz Csampai (Stockholm), world-famous accordion player Aydar Gaynullin (Berlin) and renowned musicians from St. Petersburg Elena Bulanova and Petr Iljash.
