The taxpayers’ movement has grown out of the desire of citizens to protect themselves from the increasing tax claims of governments. The Taxpayers Association of Europe is a federation of 29 national taxpayers’ associations throughout Europe with more than one million members. The World Taxpayers Associations, WTA, is an organization which connects taxpayer protection groups from over 60 countries in order to create opportunities for collaboration and spread economic freedom. Several meetings, workshops and panel discussions under the motto “Help me, I am a taxpayer!” will be focused on the future of the taxation system worldwide. The challenges and opportunities of public private partnerships, the impact of governmental interest policy, especially in the face of the crisis in the Eurozone and best practice models will be discussed.

During these days’ key stakeholders and globally acclaimed experts will debate a wide range of important aspects of economic growth and growth of freedom and democracy. Amongst the main themes, the following issues will be disputed: International stability – low taxes for economic growth; Future alternatives; Public-private partnerships; Alternatives to financing infrastructure and welfare; The need for good governance and good governance in practice; Interest policy, currency issues, cross boarder taxation and creating a growth climate.

There will also be six workshops on themes like campaigning and fund raising, media coaching, alternative marketing and PR, trends and resources, styling and appearance, facts on the climate issue, and up to date matters on social media usage.
