The German Lost Art Foundation organizes a Conference about the Washington Principles

Discussion on the progress of the Washington Principles and their future

The event that is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media will feature a gathering of experts on Nazi-Confiscated art. The focus of the event will be the future of these pieces of art.

With the event of the 20th anniversary of the Washington Principles an event will be hosted at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin from the 26th to the 28th of November. The experts will be focusing on the implementation problems of the Washington Principles and their future.

Finding just and fair solutions to the problem of Nazi-Confiscated art has always been a problematic issue for the countries and NGOs involved in the matter. That is exactly what this event tries to do.

Another aim of this event will be the discussion of how to permanently make the Washington Principles a part of the culture of remembrance and responsibility.

The conference will be taking part at the Haus der Kul­turen der Welt, John-Fos­ter-Dulles-Allee 10, 10557 Berlin. The languages of the conference will be German and English . Simultaneous translation will also be offered.
