Brussels in Berlin is a network that brings together professionals of various fields, who have previously worked in Brussels in the European institutions or have a close relationship with the EU.

It is a nonpartisan organisation, with a European outlook. Its current members include representatives of the German government, parliamentarians, businessmen and women, consultants, analysts and associates of study centers.

Members meet periodically with special guests in order to informally discuss confidentiality rules, namely the so-called "Chatham House rules", on issues regarding European news. Examples include the cases of Richard Kühnel, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Germany, or Martin Kotthaus, director General for Europe in the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On June 23rd a round table was held by the “Brussels in Berlin” network, to discuss the possible repercussions of the UK referendum on EU membership and the results of the Spanish general election. The resulting discussions centered around the understanding that current levels of globalisation and the interconnection of today’s economies demands a common approach and that Europe must seek common answers to common problems.
