Asad Khan is an internationally accomplished Sitar player; he is part of the 6th generation of the highly respected musical tradition of Mewati Gharana, a music apprenticeship clan of Hindustani Classical Music based in the Mewat region of Rajasthan. Khan is deeply rooted in Indian classical music having studied the Sitar under his father, Ustad Siraj Khan, who is an eminent leading Sitar player himself. Asad Khan seems to thrive on challenges, enjoying crossovers of Indian music and other traditional forms of music from across the world including Jazz, Flamenco, Western Classical, Electronic Rock, Lounge Fusion, Sufi, Folk, Thematic Music and Film Scores and attempts to create results that have are totally different to anything he has done before.

Asad has also played concerts across the world at some of the most prestigious venues for classical music and has performed as both a solo artist and as part of collaboration with other artists and musicians. These vary from orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Babelsberg Film Orchestra to musicians such as Herbie Hancock, A R Rahman, India Arie, Barry Manilow, Colbie Caillat and Jamiroquai. This has taken Asad around the world, performing in front of many different audiences and gaining international recognition. Asad has also worked on films such as Jodha-Akbar, Raavan, Jhoota hi Sahi, Sultan the warrior, Nokia connections and Slumdog millionaire. This demonstrates his talent and ability. This event promises to be an unmissable event.
