Roundtable about the Work of Spanish Artist Josep Renau

News from Berlin - The Cervantes Institute in Berlin in collaboration with Galerie und Kunstgiesserei Flierl (The Art Foundry & Gallery Flierl) have organized a panel discussion of the exhibition "Saturdays with Renau: Through the Eyes of Measure " on 16th of October. The Spanish institution intends by this act to highlight the importance of the Spanish artist Josep Renau, who settled up his career during the German Democratic Republic

The roundtable focuses on the exhibition in which the diverse material of Josep Renau and his disciples are shown. All these artists were a generation of people who were born and developed their careers in Germany. The round table will count some of his disciples, who will relate their first-hand experiences during those turbulent years.

Michael Nungesser (Art Historian), Petra Flierl (Gallerist) and the artists Martha Hofmann, Ulrich Reimkasten and Reinhard Stangl are going to participate as speakers. The event will take place on 16th of this month at 19:30 at the Cervantes Institute (Rosenstrasse 18-19). The eponymous exhibition, which has been open since September the 27th, and will remain in Berlin until the 31st stands at Galerie Kunstgiesserei & Flierl (Friesickestrasse 17).
