Federica Mogherini, Vice-President of the Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and European Commissioner Navracsis have proposed a strategy.

“Cultural diplomacy” was launched in the European Union under the Italian presidency, in 2014. Their goal was to involve all countries in cultural projects and EU talks on culture as a creative industry to promote dialogue between cultures. The 8th June 2016, Federica Mogherini (Vice-President of the Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy) and Navracsis (European Commissioner) had therefore proposed a strategy for international relations which aims to: exploit culture in favor of creativity and eco-sustainable development, promote peace and intensify collaboration inside cultural heritage.
