The year of 2017 is a significant date foe both China and Germany. It remarks indeed the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In order to celebrate the event, the Chinese Embassy in Berlin has organized a cycle of cultural activities, called ‘German-Chinese culture year of Inner Mongolia 2017’. The event, hosted on the 14th of April, started with the speech of H.E. Shi Mingde, Chinese Ambassador to Germany.

Then, the evening showed the cultural heritage of China with a series of different performances.

For example, the event featured Chinese traditional dance, as well as music played with a horse head fiddle instrument. Moreover, the opening ceremony constituted a precious way for the guests to explore more sides of the Chinese culture. In fact, all the participant had the possibility to look at handicrafts and other paintings displayed specifically for the event.

The show was not only a way to celebrate the extremely good relations which exist between China and Germany, but it provided also an invaluable opportunity for the German people to learn deeper about the magnificent history and culture of China.

In addition, due to the fact that there was the possibility to sell Chinese products to the public, this form of exchange represented a very good way to establish strong economic relations. But apart from the trading side, the show was undoubtedly a priceless experience to strengthen China’s relations with the west, as well as another outstanding example of how the field of cultural diplomacy can be a benefit for the whole world.
