Rudolstadt Festival is Germany’s principal festival of roots, folk and world music. It takes place in the central region of Thuringia and it is also considered one of the top world music festivals in Europe.

Every year, over 20 stages and podiums at the festival host around 300 concerts as well as workshops and discussions. In all, performances are given by more than 130 bands from over 30 countries. This year's festival will be held from July 5th through the 8th, 2018 and the Festival’s guest this year is Estonia.

Estonia will be represented by famous Estonian artists such us Arsis, Bombillaz, Curly Strings, E Stuudio Youth Choir, Mari Kalkun & Runorun, Kuljus, Maarja Nuut & Hendrik Kaljujärv, pUULUUp and Torupilli Jussi Trio. In addition, many groups and artists from all over the world will also take part in the celebrations.

The festival will also host amazing dancing performances including many famous companies like the Sierra Heritage Performing Arts Company from Spain, Sigrid Doberenz & Wimmerschinken from Germany, as well as the Estonian Kuljus. In addition, the beautiful Estonian Birgit Püve's Kihnu-themed photo exhibition and exhibition about Estonian history will be open and Estonian movies will be shown on movie nights.
