Berlin Philharmonic hosts a Ukrainian Concert

Celebrating 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Germany

Yesterday, at the Berlin Philharmonic, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany and under the patronage of the wife of the Federal President of Germany Mrs. Elke Büdenbander, a concert of Ukrainian classical music stars Anthony Baryshevsky and Taras Yannitsky was held. The concert was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Germany.

About 1100 guests came to the Metropolitan Philharmonic on the evening of 25th June to dive into the culmination of music and virtuoso performances. "It's music that unites people, nations, cultures, and religions. Music allows you to get a glimpse into the culture of the country, in her soul " - so briefly and accurately emphasized in his welcoming word the key goal of the concert organized by the Embassy of his honorary guest, the First Lady of Germany. In his address to the guests, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany Andriy Melnyk noted that Ukraine currently has a truly high level of partnerships and friendly relations with Germany, which are only deepening and becoming stronger year after year.

An enthusiastic audience among members of the German Bundestag, representatives of the political and media, representatives of the Ukrainian community of Germany after the concert discussed the unbeatable performance of the young virtuoso Antony Baryshevsky and the skillful insight of the Bandura music Taras Yanniky. Ukrainian embassy emphasizes that Ukraine is rich not only on the historical past, but also on talented stars, who, with their abilities and hard work, create history today.
