Christian Freiherr von Stetten
After his military service Christian Freiherr von Stetten acquired a degree in Business Studies and Administration and founded his own enterprise in Künzelsau during his studies. Since 1996 he has been the executive shareholder and manager of Stetten Bau GmbH and Technologie Holding Christian Stetten GmbH, as well as Chairman of the Supervisory board of Schloß Stetten Holding AG.
After the establishment of his subsidiary companies in 1997 and in 1999, he became the chairman of the supervisory board of these companies. Since 2002 he has been directly elected as deputy of the federal electoral district Schwäbsich Hall-Hohenlohe (52,3% vote share). He is a member of the council of elders of the CDU/CSU faction in the German Bundestag and one of the board members. Additionally he is chairman of the financial committee of the same party faction.
As chairman of the parliamentary circle Mittestand (PKM) of the CDU/CSU faction he leads the largest sociological group of 188 parliamentarians within his fraction. He is also a member and president of foundations and societies as the Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen e.V., Berlin and the Bürgerverein Berlin-Hohenlohe e.V., Berlin. Since 2014 he has been the deputy mayor of the county seat Künzelsau and honorary alderman in his electoral district. He was in various honorary functions within the youth organization of the CDU “Junge Union” and numerous local political activities.
