Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Germany

News from Berlin. Ambassador Mosud Mannan began his academic career studying Economics at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He continued his studies in the USA and earned an M.A. Degree from Tufts University in Boston. After joining his country’s foreign service, he held posts in various foreign capitals including London, Muscat, and New York. In 1996 Ambassador Mosud Mannan accepted the appointment to Deputy Head of Protocol at the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka a position which he served in until 2000. In 2002 he moved on to become Envoy to Beijing for three years.

In September 2008 he was named Ambassador of Bangladesh to Morocco and has since been appointed as ambassadorial representative to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Berlin. This role has seen the ambassador prove vital in the outreach to Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRB) living in Germany and for relations with his home and host country.
