News from Berlin - On Monday, June 16th, the Center for Information on Germany of the German Embassy in Paris will present the second edition of ‘Germanofolies’, a day of musical performances to celebrate the German city of Leipzig.

The first edition of ‘Germanofolies’, organized last year, attracted over 2 000 visitors to an open-air afternoon of music to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Franco-German Elysée Treaty.

This year, the festival will focus on the German city of Leipzig, presenting simultaneously both the concert and several animations and exhibitions on the city and Germany. Among others, the German artist Tom Schulze will be presenting his photographic exhibition ‘La face cachée de Leipzig’.

This year’s festival will feature three young German artists, bringing jazzy influences to the day. Mine, young singer from Mayence, Alin Coen, from Hamburg, and the band Jenix, from East Germany, will introduce visitors to the new German musical scene.
