On Monday, July 23 10:30 - 13:30, at the Netherlands Embassy in Germany- Klosterstrasse 50, 10179 Berlin- the demonstration of “Noah”, the most sustainable car in the world, will take place.

This event is the result of an innovative project developed by the TU/Ecomotive student team of the Eindhoven University of Technology.

The idea behind this project is to respond to a problem that is becoming always more and more urgent: sustainability. In a world that becomes always more populated and in which the resources needed will become more than those that the earth can produce, the only solution is to resort to a circular economy, by recycling products. The TU / Ecomotive will demonstrate that circularity is already possible also in the framework of complicated products (such as a car).

The “Noah’s revolution” is the fact of being made of completely recyclable and easily detachable materials. Both interiors and exteriors are manufactured with biomaterials based on the combination of flax and sugar. The guide is completely electric thanks to the use of intelligent and modular battery packs. The Noah engines have a combined power of 15kW, with which Noah will reach a speed of about 100 km / h and a total autonomy of 240 kilometers. The dream of the creators is also to create a product that is not only sustainable but that has also aesthetics, comfort and practicality. A feature of its convenience and comfort comes from the fact that Noah will be a connected car. With just one touch, Noah will adapt to all driver preferences and using NFC technology and Wi-Fi in the car, it will be optimally equipped for car sharing. To ensure resistance and safety, the team is conducting a series of tests which, if they all succeed, will allow the new car to circulate on public roads by the end of this year.
