Edo delegates and Nigerian Embassy in Berlin work for a closer cooperation

On August 16th 2019, HE Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Nigerian Ambassador in Berlin, welcomed a delegation of the Edo Community of Nigeria, including Mr Christian Ejodamen, President of Edo Germany, and Alhaji Musa Anka, Minister in charge of the Consular & Immigration Section.

The main aim of the meeting was to actively promote Edo’ s culture and traditions in Germany, along with the strengthening of Nigerian-German relations. Moreover, the event raised the topic of Nigerians based in Germany willing to go back to Nigeria to enhance its development, as well as the migration issue; regarding to the latter, Nigerian Ambassador stated that the Embassy encourages the fight against irregular migration “by increasing micro-financing opportunities in Nigeria”.

Hon. Ejodamen, the leader of the delegation, seized the opportunity to express his wish for a closer cooperation between the Edo Community in Germany and the Nigerian Embassy in Berlin: “We want the Embassy to know us well and we want to develop a good working relationship with the mission which we believe will make its work easier,” he stated.
