The exhibition displays images taken along the National Tourist Routes in Norway at the intersection between contemporary architecture and landscape. Over the course of eight years, Ken Schluchtmann is up until now the only one who has consistently photographed the National Tourist Routes, initiated in 1994. Schluchtmann uses a coherent imagery, which creates a strong identity and shows some of the most beautiful parts of rural Norway. The pure power of the landscape is highlighted by the integration of architecture and art works.

The installation for the Felleshus exhibition was designed by Ken Schluchtmann in collaboration with the Berlin creative agency Bluescope. The underlying concept was to take the public into Norway’s impervious, imposing landscape with all their senses; the architects implemented a series of expedients such as oversized prints that make the viewer feel small before the spectacle of nature. They used the Felleshus itself as an active element in the exhibition concept, installing exhibition areas on different levels and underlining the materials the building is made of.

Ken Schluchtmann, born in 1970, is a German architectural and advertising photographer. In 2001 he founded his agency diephotodesigner.de in Berlin, which works for designers and companies mainly in Europe, Asia and North America. He has won several international competitions, including the Arcaid Images Photography Award (World Architecture Festival) twice, and his works have been exhibited internationally. The exhibition will be open until January 17th, 2019.
