The Orchestra of the Russian Folk Instruments was founded in 1985. September 4th marks the first of six Russian folk instrument performances, which will be held by Artist Director and Chief Conducter, Alexej Lawrentjew at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin.

From 2008 to 2016, Vladimir Sergeyevich Ivanov, was active as Artistic Leader and Chief Conductor of the Orchestra. Since the existence of the orchestra, more soloists have joined, such as the folk artist of the Soviet Union Vladimir Matorin, the folk artist of the Russian Federation Wassilij Owsjannikow and the folk artist of Russia Igor Morozow.

The orchestra creates a lively sound atmosphere that one cannot even imitate when using the current technical aids. The best people´s dance and singing from different areas of Russia will present their art, an evening to discover the diverse Russia.
